The Bolhao Market is Porto’s main traditional market, a neoclassical building in the city center recently renovated but still operating as a working market with local vendors. Free to browse. Fresh produce, fish, flowers, and prepared food fill the stalls. Budget travelers eat lunch at one of the market counters for a fraction of restaurant prices and see the Porto that tourism has not yet polished.
