Porto Ribeira to Gaia Crossing
The Ribeira to Gaia Crossing is a self-guided walk from Porto’s waterfront across the Dom Luis I Bridge to Vila Nova de Gaia. Free. Start at the Ribeira, cross the upper deck of the bridge (panoramic views in both directions), arrive at the Jardim do Morro viewpoint on the Gaia side, and walk down to the port cellars on the waterfront. Budget travelers do this at sunset and get the single most photographic experience in Porto.
