Teruel’s UNESCO-listed Mudejar towers blend Islamic and Christian architectural traditions in a way found nowhere else in Europe, while Dinopolis brings families for its dinosaur park. Looking up at the brick towers and wandering the compact old town cost nothing, and famously overlooked by Spanish tourism campaigns, the city is genuinely cheap for food and beds. It rewards travellers willing to detour into Aragon’s interior, and pairs with Zaragoza or Valencia on a low-cost route. Plaza del Torico
