City in Spain

Lugo

3 things to see

Lugo is encircled by the only fully intact Roman walls left in the world, a UNESCO site you can walk entirely on top of for free, and serves as a stop on the Camino Primitivo. The walkway atop the walls and the old town inside them cost nothing to wander. Galician food culture here is outstanding and priced for locals, making it one of the best-value eating cities in Spain. It pairs naturally with Santiago de Compostela and coastal A Coruna on a Galician loop.
