Lugo is encircled by the only fully intact Roman walls left in the world, a UNESCO site you can walk entirely on top of for free, and serves as a stop on the Camino Primitivo. The walkway atop the walls and the old town inside them cost nothing to wander. Praza Maior
The arcaded main square of Lugo, a natural gathering point surrounded by the town hall and lively tapas bars. Free to enjoy, and Thursday market days fill the square with local produce.
Roman Walls of Lugo
The only complete Roman wall circuit in the world, stretching over two kilometres with 71 towers. Walking the full circuit on top is free and provides a UNESCO World Heritage experience at no cost.
