The 374 steps of the Montagne de Bueren cost nothing, stay open at any hour, and pay out with the cheapest big view in town, looking out over the old town and the Meuse. Montagne de Bueren
A staircase of 374 steps climbing straight up the hillside from the city centre, originally built for soldiers to reach the citadel. Free to climb and one of Belgium's most dramatic urban features.
Palais des Prince-Eveques
The former palace of Liege's powerful prince-bishops, now a courthouse, with two Renaissance courtyards featuring carved columns. The courtyards are free to enter during opening hours.
Place Saint-Lambert
