Basilica de Santa Maria
A 17th-century Baroque basilica where the famous Misteri d'Elx, a medieval liturgical drama and UNESCO Masterpiece, is performed each August. Free entry to the nave, with a rooftop terrace offering views over the palmeral.
Huerto del Cura
A smaller curated garden within the palmeral featuring the famous Imperial Palm, a 150-year-old specimen with seven trunks. There is an entry fee, but it remains one of the most distinctive botanical sites in Spain.
Palmeral of Elche
Europe's largest palm grove and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with over 200,000 palm trees originally planted by the Moors. The Parque Municipal section is free and offers shaded walks through dense date palm groves.
