Andorra la Vella is Europe’s highest capital, best known for duty-free shopping and Pyrenean mountain scenery you can enjoy for free just by stepping outside. The compact old quarter is free to wander, and the surrounding valleys put low-cost hiking trails right at the edge of town. Esglesia de Sant Esteve
A 12th-century Romanesque church in the heart of the old quarter with a striking semicircular apse. Free entry and one of the few genuinely historic structures in the capital.
Parc Central
A modern urban park along the river with a lake, walking paths, and free outdoor art installations. A calm counterpoint to the shopping strips that dominate the capital.
Pont de la Margineda
A medieval stone bridge spanning the Valira river, dating to the late Middle Ages. It is the longest and best-preserved old bridge in Andorra and free to cross.
